Microblading is a treatment which involves applying a semi-permanent tattoo to your brow area to create highly defined eyebrows. The shape of your brows will be determined during your consultation with our practitioner and will be informed both by your preferences and the natural shape of your face. A series of micro needles are used to place pigment under the skin and mimic natural hairs.
Our practitioners are meticulous in their approach. They want to achieve optimal results for you, which is why the process can take up to 2 hours. A microblading pen is used to achieve the effects you want. Immediately following treatment, you will see the strokes, but these will soften becoming more natural-looking over the next few days, giving you beautifully defined and very stylish eyebrows.
The advantages of microblading
Microblading pigmentation is a softer look than a normal tattoo. The ink is created from an iron oxide base, which has long been used in make up, but will not fade into an unnatural colour; a problem commonly associated with other semi-permanent make up products.
The pigment isn’t implanted as deeply as tattoo ink either. It sits in the upper dermis, which is an ideal location for maintaining crisp-looking strokes.
Ramute was very professional and put me at ease throughout the treatment. Really happy with my microbladed brows! Would definitely recommend and will be going back for further treatments.
about Micro Blading
The amount of time it takes for you to be happy with the finished look depends on how thick you want your brows. You may need several sessions to achieve your ideal brow thickness. That said, you will be able to see a difference in your brows after just one session.
Microbladed brows have been known to last for up to 1 year, but how long your results will last will depend on your skin type. Should you need a touch up, you can make a top up appointment with us every 30-45 days.
Your highly trained practitioner will want to pluck and wax your brows, according to the design that was created at your consultation, so please don’t arrive at your appointment having plucked and waxed your eyebrows yourself. We also advise that you refrain from using acid-based exfoliation products beforehand, because it would be unwise to have a microblading treatment performed on skin that is feeling sensitive.
Microblading is not suitable for diabetics or pregnant women. This treatment will also not be performed on you if you’ve taken blood thinning products, such as aspirin, immediately beforehand. How effective microblading is for you may depend on your skin type, as thicker, more oily skin may not absorb the ink as efficiently.
There is a chance you’ll experience slight redness and swelling, but this will subside quickly. Itchiness can be alleviated by applying Vaseline. You will be advised not to scratch or pick at the area. Swimming and tanning is to be avoided for 10 days following the treatment, due to increased skin sensitivity.
