Resurfaces problem skin areas

Rejuvenates and corrects a number of common skin complaints

Dermapen is a microneedling device that looks like a pen. It is used to improve the condition of your skin, reduce signs of ageing and remove blemishes from targeted skin areas. Based on acupuncture methods, Dermapen treatment involves micro punctures to the skin; an action which stimulates increased collagen and elastin production.

As collagen and elastin are what keeps skin youthfully firm, plump and healthy-looking, you should appear revitalised following treatment. Scars can be removed, wrinkles can be reduced and skin tone can be improved to reduce pigmentation issues. This is a rejuvenating treatment, which can also corrects skin complaints.

Improve the tone and texture of your skin.

  • Wrinkle reduction
  • Effective scar removal
  • More even skin tone
  • Firmer skin
  • Reduce skin pores

When your body detects a wound, its natural repair system is kick-started into action. The tip of the Dermapen contains 12 needles. These needles will puncture the skin and move back and forth as they are moved over a surface area.

.This motion artificially creates microscopic wounds that will force your body’s repair response unit to increase cell regeneration and create new skin cells. A skin solution, containing peptides, vitamins, minerals and hyaluronic acid will then be applied to your face to give you a further boost. Following treatment, your collagen and elastin levels will be increased, making your skin firmer and younger-looking.

    about Dermapen (PRX-T33)

Dermapen is very efficient at reducing fine lines, wrinkles and other signs of ageing, as well as acne scarring and stretch marks. It has also been known to stimulate hair regrowth.
Dermapen can be applied to all skin types, but it is not recommended for use on pregnant women and women over 70.
The treatment time varies according to the size of the skin surface area that’s being covered, but generally treatment times are between 30 minutes and 1 hour.
The treatment shouldn’t be painful because a local anaesthetic cream will be applied beforehand to ensure you’re as comfortable as possible. Immediately afterwards, your skin may feel sensitive and there’s a chance of some redness. However the redness and sensitivity soon fades.
You will be advised to wait for 2-3 days following treatment, before resuming your usual skincare regime.
You should notice that your skin is beginning to look younger and less tired within 6-8 weeks. Your practitioner will be able to advise you on how many Dermapen sessions you’ll need to optimise the results.
