FAQs

  • Dermapen is very efficient at reducing fine lines, wrinkles and other signs of ageing, as well as acne scarring and stretch marks. It has also been known to stimulate hair regrowth.

  • Dermapen can be applied to all skin types, but it is not recommended for use on pregnant women and women over 70.

  • The treatment time varies according to the size of the skin surface area that’s being covered, but generally treatment times are between 30 minutes and 1 hour.

  • The treatment shouldn’t be painful because a local anaesthetic cream will be applied beforehand to ensure you’re as comfortable as possible. Immediately afterwards, your skin may feel sensitive and there’s a chance of some redness. However the redness and sensitivity soon fades.

  • You will be advised to wait for 2-3 days following treatment, before resuming your usual skincare regime.

  • You should notice that your skin is beginning to look younger and less tired within 6-8 weeks. Your practitioner will be able to advise you on how many Dermapen sessions you’ll need to optimise the results.
