A HydraFacial suits most skin types, including oily and dry skin. People usually book it for:

Who it is not suitable for
- Anyone with sunburn, a rash or a skin infection on the face
- Anyone under 18
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please tell us before booking, as some of the solutions used are not suitable
- If you use prescription skincare such as tretinoin, or have taken isotretinoin recently, please tell us first
We go through your medical history at your consultation and will tell you if another treatment, or no treatment, is the better choice.

The four stages
Cleanse and exfoliate
The skin is cleansed and dead surface cells are lifted away.
Gentle peel
A mild acid solution loosens what is in the pores. You may feel some tingling.
Extraction
Light suction clears the pores.
Hydration
Serums chosen for your skin are applied to finish.

Who treats you
HydraFacial treatments are carried out by our trained practitioners, who assess your skin first and choose the serums to suit it.
Side effects and risks
Temporary redness or tightness is common and usually settles within a few hours.
Less common: irritation, or a breakout in the days after treatment. Tell us about any allergies and the skincare you use.
Looking after your skin
- Avoid make-up for the rest of the day if you can.
- Use SPF 30 or higher and avoid strong sun for a few days.
- Leave retinol and exfoliating acids out of your routine for 48 hours.
Questions
Does a HydraFacial hurt?
No needles are involved. Most people feel light suction, and some tingling during the peel stage.
How often can I have one?
Many clients come every four to six weeks. A single treatment before an event is also common.
Can I go back to work afterwards?
Most people do. Your skin may look slightly red for an hour or two.
Which skin types does it suit?
Most, including oily and dry skin. We assess your skin first and choose the serums to suit it.
