Who it suits
Microblading draws fine, hair-like strokes into the surface of the skin to fill gaps and define the brow. People usually choose it for:
- Sparse or over-plucked brows
- Gaps or an uneven shape
- Brows that need pencilling in every day
Who it is not suitable for
- Anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding
- Anyone under 18
- Anyone with a skin infection or irritation in the brow area
- Very oily skin often holds ombré brows better than hair strokes. We will advise at your consultation
We go through your medical history at your consultation and will tell you if another treatment, or no treatment, is the better choice.

The two techniques give different finishes and can be combined. We agree the shape, colour and technique with you before anything is done.

Your appointment
Consultation and patch test
We discuss the look you want, assess your skin and carry out a patch test at least 48 hours before your appointment.
Mapping and design
On the day your practitioner measures and draws the new brow shape. Nothing happens until you approve it in the mirror.
The treatment
Numbing cream is applied first. Most clients describe the feeling as light scratching.
Top-up
Four to six weeks later, once the skin has healed, a second session perfects the result.

Who treats you
Your brows are shaped by Ramute, our founder, a qualified aesthetic practitioner with over 15 years of experience.
Side effects and risks
Common: redness, tenderness and slight swelling for a day or two, then light flaking as the brows heal.
Less common: infection, an allergic reaction to the pigment, or colour that heals unevenly. The patch test and the aftercare reduce these risks.
Looking after your brows
- Keep the brows dry for the first week.
- Avoid make-up on the brows while they heal.
- Avoid saunas, swimming and intense exercise for 10 to 14 days.
- Once healed, use SPF on the brows to help the colour last.
Questions
Does microblading hurt?
Most clients feel light scratching. Numbing cream is applied before and during the treatment.
How long does it last?
Typically 6 to 18 months, depending on your skin type and lifestyle. Oily skin, sun exposure and some skincare ingredients, such as retinol, can fade it sooner.
Why do I need a top-up?
Skin heals differently from person to person, and some strokes fade as it heals. The top-up fills these in and adjusts the colour.
What is the difference between microblading and ombré?
Microblading draws individual hair strokes. Ombré gives a soft, shaded finish, like brow powder. The two can be combined.
